Disney MerryTime cruise and Molly McIntire (Dec 2022)

Last early December 2022 we went on a 7 day Disney MerryTime cruise out of Galveston Texas to the western Caribbean. I took Molly McIntire with me.

Molly McIntire is one of the first three Historical Characters, representing the late World War II Era. Molly was released in 1986 at the launch of Pleasant Company along with Samantha Parkington and Kirsten Larson. Molly was rereleased as part of the 35th anniversary of American Girl in 2021. She was also released with some of her accessories in 2022. I got a surprise present, of Molly McIntire in 2022.

Molly and I had a great time on the cruise. We read books, went to the children's club and played games, and met lots of people!

American Girl of the Year 2023 - Kavi Sharma (2)

Over the weekend I got Kavi all setup in the playroom and spend all of Saturday with her.

When we were at the Charlotte American Girl store we got Kavi, her trunk, her pajamas and her accessories. Kavi's boon won't be available until sometime in March. But I heard it will be a larger book and also hardcover. I'm so excited to read more about her.

I spent a wonderful day with Kavi. I introduced her to all the other girls and we had a tea part together! I'm so glad that Kavi is part of the family.

The Dragon King Puppet Show

On Saturday afternoon we went to see the Dragon King Puppet Show at the Center for Puppetry Arts. It was an amazing story and the puppets were incredible. Lots of children were there with their parents. We all had a great time. The video link is from the people who did the puppet show here.

After the puppet show we went into the Jim Henson Museum and took lots of pictures!

I took Kavi Sharma with me. My first outing with Kavi! I dressed her for the cold January weather.

My LEYA dolly

Leya dollies are soft and small dollies that some in many styles and colors. The can also be personalized with a girl's name. They are very soft, adorable and washable! The customer reviews are awesome!

I don't sleep with my American Girl dollies because that are hard and I could possibly hurt them. But sleeping with my Leya doll is perfect.  Someone told me she is like a rag doll. It's all soft and made of cloth. I can roll over her or drop her and she feels nothing.

That's me with my original Leya Dolly. You can see her better on the right! Isn't she cute!

That's my Leya backpack. That's another Leya Doll. It's a baby backpack but I can fit a lot of things in it like hairbrush, comb, makeup and more.  So I have 2 Leyas.

Leanne's Pretty Dresses!

Please take a look at the new splash page for Leanne's Pretty Dresses.

I love that I am twinning with my dolly in two of the photos. I think that I have about 6 of Leanne's outfits that I can twin with my dollies. I probably have 20 Leanne dresses. I love the reaction I get from people when I am out twinning with my dolly! They all comment on what a cute and precious little girl I am. Here are a few more!

Leanne's dresses are beautiful and can be customized to fit! There is a sale going on now so don't wait to order!

American Girl Orlando with Luciana Vega

This was our most recent visit to American Girl Orlando (May 2022). I brought Luciana Vega, the GOTY 2018,  with me.

We had lunch in the bistro before we went shopping and browsing!

This is a fun place to get pretty photos! I'm wearing my toy parade dress in sea foam!

Corinne Tan was the GOTY in 2022 so there was a big display all about her!

Truly Me Section of the store

Luciana's dress is a  Knee length knit galaxy print dress. Slightly open round bound neckline. Cap sleeves. Flared half-circle skirt. Print of "galaxy" print with pink base, and swirls of purple and darker pink clouds with white stars scattered.

Luciana Vega was released in 2018 and was available until September 2021 before retirement. She is considered the Girl of the Year for 2018.

Luciana is a gal who loves SPACE and SCIENCE.  Her story is inspired by STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) learning and we all know that STEM education ROCKS!  She hopes to go to space camp and her dream is to get to Mars someday. The doll, her coordinating line of accessories and her book series all promote a seriously science-tastic theme.

There was a major event at the Space and Rocket center in Huntsville, Alabama in Feb 2018. A girlfriend and I got to go. I will be making a post all about that soon!

American Girl of the Year 2023 - Kavi Sharma

American Girl unveiled its first South Asian "Girl of the Year" on December 29, 2022. Kavika (Kavi) Sharma is a gorgeous brown-eyed 12-year-old who loves to sing and dance. She dreams of starring on Broadway one day. "Girl of the Year” dolls are different from other American Girl dolls

Kavi's story is told through her journal, written by New York Times bestselling author Varsha Bajaj. The seventh-grader lives with her close-knit Indian American family in Metuchen, New Jersey. Like most kids her age, Kavi struggles to find a balance between her passion — performing on stage — and other priorities like schoolwork. Kavi's story will teach fans how to find a healthy rhythm in life. It will also inspire them to not shy away from following their dreams.

Three Things that I love

 1. The Center for Puppetry Arts is one of my favorite places. There is a Jim Henson Museum. I shared some pictures from the museum. They also do puppet shows! I love when we go to those! There are always lots of children at the puppet shows!  I always bring one of my dollies with me.

2. I love my pink party dresses. I have 4 very special ones. This is one of my favorites. I always wear my black patent leather shoes with these dresses. That makes my outfit more fancy and pretty. I'll post pictures of all four soon!

3. The dolly I have with my is "Samantha". I named her. She is a "Truly Me" dolly. She is my  first American Girl dolly that mommy got for me. She is also a Pleasant Company doll from before American Girl was sold to Mattel by Pleasant Rowland. Do you like Samantha's pretty dress?
