The Rose Room at Prim's Petticoat WendyHouse

Aunty Frocks created this lovely montage, at Prim's Petticoat Wendyhouse, from the photos that mommy and I  sent her. These can be found in the back issues of Prims Petticoat Pansies #20,21 and 38.  I appreciate all the lovely compliments.

My Barbie Playhouse

Hopefully we are going to the new Barbie Movie this coming weekend.

That reminds me that I used to have lots of Barbies and also a Barbie Playhouse. It was always fun playing Barbies with girlfriends!

I remember that I asked Mommy why she got me a Barbie Playhouse.  She said there are many important reasons. I asked her to write them for me to add here.

  • The Barbie Dollhouse  really encouraged my daughter to use her imagination while playing.
  • There is something to be said about having a place that dolls can call “home.”
  • Pretending, particularly with dolls, fosters a lot of beneficial skills in developing young kids. And while these toys are geared more toward girls, there is nothing wrong with boys playing, too.
  • It's something that Annie and her girlfriends love to do together.

Isn't this just so pretty and pink?

I always love dressing up to play Barbies

Mommy took these next two photos just before she took me to a girlfriend's birthday party!

Annie's Sissy Corner #2

Isn't this so pretty!!!! I just love pretty dresses! (as you can see). But I always feel very defenseless and weak. Even more in very short dresses. I just have to be very careful when it is very windy outside, smoothing out my dress when I sit and keeping my knees together. These sissies look so very happy in their pretty dresses!

Isn't she a pretty and adorable little girl sissy? Now she can play dollies with her sister!

I love that pink dress and the heels! Sissy is the women's little dolly. They love dressing their sissy dolly in pretty outfits! WOW, A little pleated skirt and silk blouse! So lucky!

Yes, sissy is right that dresses and so soft and pretty! His mommy is teaching him to do all the housework and domestic tasks.

This is my newest LEYA DOLL. Ballerina LEYA. You can see "Annie" on her dress. Mommy gives her to me to hold when she puts me to bed. She is very soft and cuddly. I also love to take her with me sometimes when we go places. People love asking about her.

This is my first LEYA DOLL. She fits perfected on the back of my special backpack!

I love this picture of me sitting on my Princess Bed with my pretty LEYA DOLLY

American Girl Be Forever doll - Rebecca Rubin

Rebecca--nicknamed "Beckie" by her family--is a middle child in a Russian-Jewish Immigrant family; specifically, her family are Ashkenazi Jewish. Her mother Vera and maternal grandparents immigrated from Russia, as did her father Louis and his parents. Rebecca's family keep multiple ties to their Jewish faith and Russian heritage; they rest on the Sabbath, celebrate Jewish holidays, and Rebecca knows the tale of Clever Karina enough to recite it as a performance. However due to needs in America, there are compromises her family makes to assimilate, such as her father opening up his shop on the Sabbath for business (as the day off is traditionally Sunday in the Christian faith.) Rebecca's family speaks fluent Yiddish; the books have various Yiddish words integrated into the stories. Rebecca likes coming together with her family for Sabbath dinners. Her time period is 1914 in New York.

Most of these photos are from a New Yorl American Girl place visit in early 2022. The pic on the far right was taken in the lovely bistro downstairs.

I love that everyone just knew that I am a 5 year old little girl!

My most childish and girliest photos

This was my first visit to the American Girl Place in Chicago. I loved that mommy dressed me in my pretty pink party dress! I remember all the compliments! Especially being told that I am a pretty dolly!

I really enjoyed being taken to the children's photo studio. The photographer told me to think about what a pretty girl I am and not about posing.

I love my flower faces dress and my first American Girl dolly. I still have her, of course. She is very, very precious to me.

My Disney Princess dress and my first sissy birthday. Mommy took me to the children's photo studio for special pictures. I remember I had about 8 little girlfriends at my party. We played lots of girl's party games. It was so much fun.

I adore this photo. Giggle. A little sissy girl and her lollipop!

Sugar and spice and all things that are nice, That’s what little girls are made of

My first trip west with mommy to meet friends and relatives. So mommy could show off her little princess. Mommy bought me this gorgeous pink party dress for Cousin Cathy's 6 year old birthday party. All the girls at the party told me that I looked so pretty and cute. I was very shy but a couple of girls came over to play with me and I felt so much better. We played lots of girls party games and had so much fun. I told mommy that I wanted to be a little girl forever. She smiled and gave me a hug. "You will be a little girl forever my princess." I promise you that.

One of the things Mommy told me that she likes best is that she loves to dress me up like I am her dolly! Isn't that cute?  She also told me that little girls are the nicest things that happen to people. I never forgot that.

The next day mommy took me to the store and bought me my first dolly! She told me I should take care of her just like I would expect mommy to take care of me. I've always had a dolly with me ever since then.

I cried so much for happiness. Mommy told me that I should never hide my emotions. It's ok for little girls to cry.

A beautiful Sunday morning & perfect for a trip to the gardens

That's Corinne Tan with me. She was American Girl of the Year in 2020.. She is a ten-year-old Chinese-American girl living in a townhouse in Aspen, Colorado with her mother Judy, stepfather Arne, and younger sister, Gwynn. The two sisters spend weekends with their father, David Tan. Corinne is in the fifth grade and speaks both Chinese and English.

She is wearing a Something Navy collab American Girl outfit. I dressed her in pink to match my dress!

Little Miss Annie

I love my pink party dresses! Pink is the best sissy girl color!  I adore the background for these photos! So pretty and pink! That dolly I am holding in the top middle photo is Blaire Wilson.

Blaire is a ten-year-old girl who lives on the Pleasant View Farm Bed-and-Breakfast. She is very creative, responsible and hard-working, and is good at improvising solutions to the unique problems that can arise on her farm. She loves her family, even though she often finds her younger brother annoying, and she loves caring for the animals on the farm- such as Penelope the lamb, Dash the goat and Dandelion the Silkie chicken. Her favorite thing to do is to help her Mom cook meals for the guests in the kitchen.

She enjoys spending time on her tablet, to play games or talk to her friends, but she can sometimes get too caught up in it and forget to talk to people in reality. She also can get too focused on her plans, such as when she spent her entire summer planning a wedding and forgetting to spend time with her friends.

Blaire's love of cooking becomes challenging when she finds out she is lactose intolerant, and will have to go dairy-free for some time. While she and her Mom experiment with dairy substitutes, she finds her allergies embarrassing and doesn't like to bring them up.

Blaire was the American Girl of the Year in 2019. Please tell me what you like most about these pictures.
